The original 1964 Motown song “Dancing in the Street” is older than The Voice Season 12 teenage contestant Aliyah Moulden and her 40-year-old coach Blake Shelton. But together the duo will perform the classic song about people cooling off and having fun in the city in the summertime.

Fun facts about the song: The late great Marvin Gaye co-wrote the song and is on the drums in the first recording with Martha and the Vandellas. Over the years, a number of artists have covered “Dancing in the Street” including the Mamas & the Papas (1966), David Bowie and Mick Jagger (1985), The Kinks, The Everly Brothers, and the Grateful Dead, among others. The winner of The Voice will be announced on Tuesday, May 23 (8pm, NBC).
