The Trump Regrets Twitter tag is no stranger to bots, just like everything else on the Internet. So every comment found there is to be taken with a full salt shaker, not just a grain of the stuff. But it’s interesting to see the positions the bots take too — after all, there are humans behind them. After Trump’s bombing of Assad’s Syrian strongholds, the word that keeps popping up on the Trump Regrets twitter is NEOCON. It’ll be interesting to see if bots take up this new NEOCON association attaching itself to Trump and spread it.
That’s right, the Bush-era moniker NEOCON — worn proudly by Donald Rumsefeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney and plenty more — is returning to some prominence. Or at least it’s again part of the conversation. NEOCON is a name that’s been largely dormant — or seemed to be — after being sent packing by consecutive Obama wins. But NEOCON is back — and not in a good way, according to Trump critics.
