In the film Custody, a child services agent who was in charge of monitoring a five-year-old girl who was left to starve to death by her mother, suspects that single mother Sara Diaz (Catalina Sandino Moreno) has abused her son. The agent presents his assessment in court in front of Judge Martha Schulman (Viola Davis).
The child services agent is portrayed by Raul Esparza. He’s known for his roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Rafael Barba), Hannibal (Dr. Frederick Chilton), and Pushing Daisies (Alfredo Aldarisio), among others. Esparza is also recognized for his Tony Award-nominated performances on stage in Taboo, Speed-the-Plow, and Company. Custody premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, March 4 at 8pm.
