Standup comedian Chris Rock made a record-breaking deal with Netflix in October 2016. The streaming giant agreed to pay the former Saturday Night Live cast member $40 million for two comedy specials. Rock is currently on his 2017 Total Blackout Tour. It’s guaranteed to be a great show because Rock is working with tour manager Alan Leeds, who worked with Prince on his Purple Rain Tour. Leeds became president of Prince’s Paisley Park Records label. Fun fact: Alan Leeds’s little brother Eric Leeds played saxophone on eight Prince albums.
Alan Leeds was also the tour manager for James Brown in the early 1970s.
Tech Rehearsal with my tour manager, Alan Leeds. He has worked with Prince, James Brown, D’Angelo, Maxwell, you name it. Look him up. pic.twitter.com/kYfsP0qePs
