Back in March when Sister Wives daughter Maddie asked her father Kody Brown to be the officiant at her and Caleb’s wedding this summer, he nodded and said okay. He didn’t show any emotion whatsoever. As Maddie said: “He didn’t react the way I expected him to.” Kody later admitted that “Instead of thinking ‘oh that’s so sweet’ I thought ‘oh goodness, how am I going to do this.” Kody had never officiated a wedding before.

Kody’s nerves followed him all the way to the day of the wedding. When asked if he was nervous, he said, “Once I get organized I won’t be.” He reveals to his daughter on her wedding day, that he hasn’t yet written their vows. While Maddie said it was “a little nerve-wracking” she also said she wasn’t surprised. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
