On Teen Mom OG episode ‘The Ties that Bind,’ Catelynn and Tyler meet with adoption counselor Dawn. Catelynn wants to schedule a visit with her daughter Carly who she gave up for adoption when she was 16. But according to Catelynn, the adoptive parents aren’t returning her texts. Now Catelynn and Tyler are worried that they’re being shut out of Carly’s life.

Dawn has to remind Catelynn and Tyler to what they agreed to in 2009. She brings out copies of documents they signed then. Dawn says: “You said no to on-going face to face” and if there was a request made it would be “at the discretion of the adopted parents.” Dawn adds: “They determine what is in the best interest of Carly.” Catelynn says, “They just need to let me know, are we done with visits forever?” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 8pm on MTV.
