The pilot series ‘The Great Indoors’ follows the life of adventure writer Jack Gordon (Joel McHale). When his magazine Outdoor Limits goes totally digital, Jack becomes boss to the digital department which is filled with millennials. Jack sees the younger group as entitled, sheltered and overly sensitive. Jack complains to and occasionally finds comfort in the advice given by his friend, bartender Eddie.
Eddie is portrayed by Chris Williams. He’s known for his roles on Silicon Valley (Hoover), Satisfaction (Lawrence), Californication (Todd Carr), and Curb Your Enthusiasm (Krazee-Eyez Killa), among others. The Georgetown graduate is also well recognized for his role as Dwight in the film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story with Vince Vaughn. Fun fact: Williams is the younger brother of actress/singer Vanessa Williams. The Great Indoors airs Thursdays at 8:30pm on CBS.
