In the Hit the Floor episode ‘Til Death Do Us Part’, Ahsha prepares for her big wedding day. With bridal dresses to consider, Ahsha asks her mother Sloane for help. Single mom Sloane doesn’t think she will be of any help. “What do I know about any of this,” she says to Ahsha. “Now you’re at the crossroads of your life and I worry all you got from me was a bad compass.”
Sloane is portrayed by Kimberly Elise. She’s known for her roles in the films Dope (Lisa Hayes), For Colored Girls (Crystal), Diary of a Mad Black Woman (Helen), The Manchurian Candidate (Rosie), and John Q (Denzel Washington’s wife Denise Archibald), Beloved (Denver), among others.
