On the Season 12 premiere episode of Criminal Minds, ‘The Crimson King,’ Luke Alvez, a new recruit from the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force joins the team. Their first mission together is to try and catch 14 escaped convicts from a prison break. One of them is a notorious killer.
Agent Luke Alvez is portrayed by Adam Rodriguez. The New York native is known for his roles on Jane the Virgin (Jonathan Chavez), Empire (Cookie’s promoter Laz Delgado), The Night Shift (Dr. Joey Chavez), Reckless (Preston Cruz), CSI: Miami (Eric Delko), and Ugly Betty (Bobby Talercio), among many others. Rodriguez is also recognized for his role as Tito in the Magic Mike movies. He’s currently filming the comedy CHiPs based on the 1980s TV show. Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBS.
