Owen Danoff is competing on Season 10 of The Voice. For his Blind Audition the compelling performer owned the 1963 Bob Dylan song “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.” He won the Battle Round against Ryan Quinn singing the Billy Joel song “She’s Always A Woman To Me.” Now for the Live Playoffs, Owen will sing the song “Hero” by the less known, indie rock band Family of the Year.

“Hero” was featured prominently in Richard Linkletter’s 2014 film Boyhood. The song is about wanting to take care of all the people you love but not being able to. The refrain of “Hero” is: “Let me go/ I don’t want to be your hero/ I don’t want to be your big man/ I just want to fight with everyone else.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
