All the nominees up for an Oscar – including supporting actors Rooney Mara (Carol) and Tom Hardy (The Revenant) – will receive a bag of fine swag at the Academy Awards ceremony. The goodies in the bag this year are valued at $200,000. The company responsible for filling the bag, LA-based Distinctive Assets, describes the goodies as “a blend of fabulous, fun and functional items meant to thrill and pamper those who may have everything money can buy but still savor the simple joy of a gift.”
In addition to a first-class trip to Israel ($55k) and a Vampire Breast Lift procedure ($1800), recipients will find a box labeled The Welcomer. It’s from Joseph’s Toiletries of Geneva, Switzerland. It’s a $275 box full of both dry and moist flushable wipes, a bottle of tonic and a bottle of moisturizer – a 3-in-1 process to keep one’s bottom clean and soft. Hardy, who doesn’t mind stripping down for a role and posing for NSFW pics, might have welcomed the “functional item” on the set of The Revenant but will he use it at home? The Oscars will be televised on February 28, 2016 at 7pm on ABC.
