Alternative rock band Pearl Jam announced the dates of the band’s 2016 North American tour. It will kick off on April 8 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and finish on May 10 at Air Canada Center in Toronto. In addition to the 14-city tour, Pearl Jam has a date at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee on June 9. And Chicago fans will get a double dose of Eddie Vedder in August when Pearl Jam will play at Wrigley Field on August 20 and 22. (Note to Boston Red Sox/Pearl Jam fans: they will play at Fenway Park on August 5 and 7.)
News of the Wrigley Field dates has caused quite a stir including among some members of the Chicago Cubs team. Pitcher Jason Hammel has already drafted his sick note to Cubs president Theo Epstein.
Dear Theo, I think I’m gonna b feeling really sick on Aug 20&22. I should stay home n get some rest. Thx 4 understanding.#PearlJamAtWrigley
