Brooke Sample of Tucson, Arizona is one of many singers auditioning for the 15th and final season of American Idol. Right before the season premiere (January 6, 8pm, FOX), Sample was interviewed by her local FOX TV station. Sample admits that she’s nervous about watching the taped auditions. “I don’t even know what I said or how I did.” When asked if she was nervous to audition in front of the likes of Jennifer Lopez, she said “100 percent” but “I was able to pull it together.”

The country singer was born in Phoenix and raised in a small town called Jones, Oklahoma. Right after graduting from high school, she moved to Tucson to pursue her music career. Sample is currently the lead singer of the local band The Grind which performs at weddings, special events and private parties.
