Actress Sandra Bullock announced that she has adopted a 3-year-old girl from foster care. She is now the sister of Bullock’s 5-year-old son Louis. Both children were born in Louisiana. Bullock told People magazine that she started fostering Laila about three years ago. She promised to keep the adoption process secret to protect Laila’s privacy. Now the family is posing for the cover of People magazine, which will be available December 4.
Bullock said of Laila’s arrival: “I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” she says of her daughter, who has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans.”
