On CSI: Cyber, an incendiary video from a police officer’s body camera is hacked and goes viral. It shows white Officer Causley beating up an unarmed black man named Derrick Knowles in an alley and then shooting him dead. The police department says the video is a fabrication. The Department of Justice asks the CSI: Cyber team to investigate. Their job is to find the hacker before the town of Ashdale, Pennsylvania, where police Officer Causley works, erupts in unrest.
Officer Causley is portrayed by Brad Beyer. He’s best known for his roles on Extant (Harmon Kryger), Royal Pains (Don O’Shea), NCIS (Marine Captain Joe Westcott), GCB (Zach Peacham), Jericho (Stanley Richmond), and Third Watch (Sgt. Jason Christopher). On film he tends to play men in uniform too. He was Captain Bransford in The General’s Daughter
