On The Good Wife, attorney Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) is coerced into arguing a case regarding physician-assisted suicide. She not only going against her own beliefs, but she’s fighting against Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox). Both will go before Judge Tom Ashton-Griffith.
[Who Is New Investigator Jason Crouse on ‘The Good Wife’?]
The judge is portrayed by Saul Rubinek. He’s appeared in several films and TV shows but he’s best known for his roles on Leverage (Victor Dubenich), Syfy’s Warehouse 13 (Artie Nielson), in the Jesse Stone TV movies (Hasty Hathaway), and on Frasier (Donny Douglas, Niles’ divorce attorney who marries the Cranes’ caretaker Daphne Moon). Rubinek had an interesting upbringing: He was born in a refugee camp in Germany in 1948. When the family emigrated to Canada, with the support of his actor father, Rubinek became a child actor in theatre and radio in Canada. Now Rubinek is acting with his children. (See “Arguments” starring Saul and Hannah Rubinek below.) The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9pm on CBS.
