On Season 7 of The Good Wife, Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) has a new rival. While trying to revive her struggling law career by representing people seeking release on bail, Alicia meets attorney Lucca Quinn. In bond court, Lucca is competing for Alicia’s clients.

Lucca Quinn is portrayed by Cush Jumbo. She told THR that The Good Wife role “really came out of the blue, but then once the opportunity was there, obviously I jumped on it because I love the show and I love the people on it. It just seemed like a no-brainer.” The 30-year-old actress was born in London and is known in the UK for her roles on Harley Street (Hannah), Torchwood (Lois Habiba), Lip Service (Becky), Getting On (Damaris Clarke), and Vera (DC Bethany Whelan) with Brenda Blethyn. At the Public Theatre, Quinn recently produced a one-woman play, Josephine and I, about jazz singer Josephine Baker. The Good Wife airs on Sundays at 9pm on CBS.
