Missy Franklin is one of the three elite athletes competing with everyday athletes on the new FOX reality competition show Beat the Champions. Super Bowl champ Rob Gronkowski and NBA Champ Scottie Pippin are the other two.
Franklin is the 20-year-old swimmer who made her Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics (she was 17 at the time). Franklin won five medals, four of which were gold. That same year, she accepted an athletic scholarship to attend UC Berkeley. Earlier this year, Franklin turned pro and landed an endorsement deal with Speedo. She’s also up for ESPY’s Best Female College Athlete. P.S. Voting ends on July 15. Beat the Champions airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Fox.
