Disney owns ABC–and if anybody knows how to capitalize on a franchise it’s Disney. So it’s no surprise that ABC is taking its super popular Shark Tank reality show and giving it a second life as Beyond the Tank. After all, as any entrepreneur can tell you–the challenges never stop. Even Mark Zuckerberg is looking at some situation even today that he’s got to rise to in order to keep Facebook in the lead. The Sharks, all seasoned investors and entrepreneurs, know this.

But sometimes the greener entrepreneurs they invest in are only just beginning to find out. It’s after they leave the Shark Tank with their initial investments that they confront the real challenge–taking their compelling ideas (so strong they won the Sharks’ investment) and turning them into real world successful businesses. Day after day after day. Because here’s a hard fact: Just because your restaurant or website or purchase order is filled up one week doesn’t guarantee anybody’s coming back next week.
