Actress/singer Hilary Duff has filed for divorce. She’s been married for four years to hockey player Mike Comrie. There are reports that Comrie had a “wild drunken night out in Beverly Hills where he allegedly was hitting on waitresses at swank eatery Mastros.” Duff wants primary physical custody of their two-year-old son, Luca.
Duff has hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Wasser, born and raised in Beverly Hills, has handled divorces for Kim Kardashian (vs Kris Humphries), Heidi Klum (vs Seal), Ryan Reynolds (vs Scarlett Johansson) Ashton Kutcher (Demi Moore), Maria Shriver (Arnold Schwarzengger), and Glee’s Jane Lynch, who didn’t fair too well. Lynch had to pay her ex, Dr. Lara Embry a lump sum of $1.2 million and Embry got half of Lynch’s royalties.
