Disney Junior is experimenting with a new science-theme TV cartoon called “Miles From Tomorrowland.” It will premiere February 6 with four back-to-back episodes. With the help of NASA, the half-hour cartoon incorporates science facts into the space journey of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family. Olivia Munn (The Newsroom) will provide the voice of Miles’ mom, Phoebe Callisto.
Miles will be portrayed by Cullen McCarthy (“Mr. Peabody & Sherman”); his father Leo will be portrayed by Tom Kenny (“SpongeBob SquarePants”)’ and Miles’ sister Loretta will be played by Fiona Bishop (Disney Junior’s “Sofia the First”). Actors who have gone where no others have gone before – Mark Hamill (Star Wars), George Takei (Star Trek) – will have recurring guest roles.
