Viggo Mortensen of The Lord of the Rings trilogy will star in the dramedy movie Captain Fantastic. He plays a father who homeschools his six kids in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. He teaches them not just English and Math but also how to fight and survive in the wilderness. Mortensen’s character struggles to adjust when forced to confront the modern world.
Entertainment One President Harold van Lier compares the script of Captain Fantastic to that of Little Miss Sunshine. van Lier said: “This is a project we all fell in love with and was voted best script of 2014 by our distribution teams on the ground.” Entertainment One also distributed 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and the forthcoming Foxcatcher.
