When not performing on stage, American singer Halsey (‘Bad at Love,’ ‘So Good’) spends time with their child, Ender, who will turn 2 in July.
On a rare occasion, Halsey gets to be on stage with their child simultaneously. As seen below, Halsey shared photos and video — be sure to swipe! — from their rehearsal at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark.
Born in Edison, New Jersey, Halsey captioned the series: “No place like home. String ensemble shows start tonight at the one and only njpac. It’s a family affair.”
Keep swiping to see a violin on a folded chair with Halsey’s name on it. Fans are going wild with speculation. As one replied: “omg u used to play violin as a kid is this happening.” Another chimed in: “are we going to get to see her play? 👀 no one else seems to be addressing that violin.”
Halsey will perform with a live string ensemble twice on the Betty Wold Johnson Stage at NJPAC‘s Prudential Hall on June 21 and June 22 at 8 pm ET “for a very special engagement to benefit arts programs and arts education across New Jersey.”
NJPAC says of Halsey: “Her edgy ferocity commands the spotlight, and from the minute she walks out on stage, she has audiences mesmerized and singing along to every song.
Halsey talks about playing the violin as a child, prior to getting her first guitar as a Christmas present, in the video above.
