Hollywood movie star Gal Gadot is best known for her roles as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious film franchise and as superhero Diana Prince — AKA Wonder Woman — in the DC Universe.
Now the 38-year-old Israeli beauty pageant winner (Miss Israel 2004) is taking on another role. In the upcoming spy thriller Heart of Stone, Gadot plays an MI6 agent.
Heart of Stone is already being compared to the Mission: Impossible, James Bond, and Jason Bourne franchises but with a female protagonist. As seen below, Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) co-stars.
Heart of Stone director Tom Harper (The Aeronauts, Wild Rose, Peaky Blinders) said Gadot’s character, Rachel, was developed to be “a character that wasn’t just a female actress playing a sort of male character, but a woman at the heart of it who was responding differently.”
As seen in the sneak peek photos and video above, Gadot looks different from how she’s appeared in her other roles, especially with long bangs.
Heart of Stone will be released on Netflix on August 11.
P.S. Gadot will also appear on the big screen in the upcoming Disney musical movie Snow White with Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI) as the sleeping beauty and Gadot as the Evil Queen.
