Supermodel Christie Brinkley has been featured in several issues of the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition over the years. At 69, she continues to share photos of herself in bikinis as seen below.
While her daughter Alexa Joel has followed in her father Billy Joel‘s footsteps as a singer, Christie’s other daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook, is following in her mother’s footsteps as a bikini model, as seen below. (Sailor’s father is Christie’s ex-husband Peter Cook.)
When Sailor shared the string bikini photo below, she wrote about how summer is slowly creeping upon us as well as “the exhausting rhetoric of the bikini body.”
Sailor reminds her followers to “remember just how wonderful, magical, powerful, sensual, flexible, durable, fantastical and beautiful our bodies are. Just as they are. Right now. With or without a special diet. With or without a gnarly workout routine.”
She encourages everyone to “enjoy the changes of our bodies” which “expand and shrink and build and stretch and curve and squish,” and to “celebrate the fact that you are here, you are alive, and f–k the rest!”
When Christie saw the photo and read the caption, she replied: “That’s my girl.”
