Actress/model/author Brooke Shields has been busy this year promoting her documentary Pretty Baby, which is about her life growing up as a fashion model (‘Nothing comes between me and my Calvins’) and a child star in Hollywood.
(The title is borrowed from the controversial 1978 Louis Malle film in which Shields played a child prostitute.)
When not on a TV or movie set, Shields, who is now 57, spends time with her family including her husband of 22 years Chris Henchy, and their two daughters, Rowan, 20, and Grier, 17.
See red carpet photo below — that’s Rowan on the left, Grier on the right.
Shields and Henchy raised their girls in Manhattan but as seen below, Shields was vacationing in Thailand when she received a surprise visit from her daughter Rowan.
With the bikini pics above, Shields writes: “Look who came to visit mom ❤️ best few days with my birthday girl. I still can’t believe she’s 20.”
Shields’s fans are going wild over the mother/daughter photos and seeing the Dexcom patch on Rowan’s arm. As one fan replied: “I love the normalisation of seeing diabetes technology 🙏 thank you.” (Swipe for best bikini and patch view on slide 4.)
Dexcom is the pharmaceutical company that makes the cgm patch worn by those with diabetes. As another fan chimed in, “she must be a T1 warrior!” T1 is shorthand for Type 1 diabetes.
Get ready to see more of Shields: she stars in the upcoming comedy Mother of the Bride with Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality) and Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly). Photo above.
