After revealing so much about her personal life in the documentary Pretty Baby, model/actress Brooke Shields (Blue Lagoon, Endless Love, Suddenly Susan) is returning to acting. She stars in the upcoming Netflix romcom, Mother of the Bride.
Shields plays the titular character who discovers that her daughter, Emma (Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly), is about to marry the son of her ex (Benjamin Bratt, Miss Congeniality).
Fans are going wild over the photo below of (most of) the cast. L-R: Rachael Harris (Kicking and Screaming), Sean Teale (Reign), Bratt, Shields and Cosgrove. More than one fan replied: “Great casting!”
Shields’ fans especially approve of seeing her with “yummy” Bratt. As one replied: “Benjamin Brat! Meow! š± So jealous!” As Bratt’s wife Talisa replied, “Beautiful people inside and out.”
Note: There aren’t many men in Hollywood on whom Shields can rest her head like that; Shields is 6-feet tall, Bratt is 6’2″. (As seen below, 6’3″ Hugh Jackman is another.)
Shields reports: “Let the adventure begin!! Filming is officially underway.” She adds: “So excited to spend time with my amazing costars! Canāt wait for a few more to get hereā¦” and gives a shout out to Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), Michael McDonald (MADtv), and Wilson Cruz (Star Trek: Discovery, 13 Reasons Why).
