Hollywood movie star Alec Baldwin is married to Hilaria Baldwin, mother of his seven youngest children. He was also married to actress Kim Basinger (mother of his eldest child, Ireland Baldwin), and before that he was engaged to be married to actress Janine Turner, who’s best known for her role as Alaskan pilot Maggie on the long-running TV series Northern Exposure (see photo below).
Turner recently shared details about her “first love” Baldwin with the New York Post’s Page Six. As captioned, the photo below of her with Baldwin is “a blast from the past.”
Turner told Page Six that she was 20 when the two actors met at an audition. They got engaged — “we had the dress, the invitations, the church, everything” — but as Turner says, the decision to end their engagement was mutual.
Turner, who also played the love interest of Sylvester Stallone in the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger, became a single mom in 1997 to daughter Juliette and put her career on the back burner.
Today, Juliette is 25 and studying law at Harvard. See mother/daughter photos in Paris, below.
Get ready to see more of Turner: She wrote and starred in the musical, Belva: Don’t Give Up Before the Miracle, which is about Belva Lockwood, a lawyer and politician who was active in the suffrage movement. Turner’s hoping to bring the show to Broadway.
