The protagonist of the new Hallmark Channel movie Girlfriendship is Samara (Tamera Mowry-Housley).
A booking mix-up turns her birthday getaway into a week-long journey on the coast of South Carolina where she and her friends (Lyndie Greenwood, Krystal Joy Brown) rediscover their passions, their purpose and romance (Brad James).
Before taking off for vacation, Samara is at work at Mahogany, a greeting card collection of African-American cards for all occasions, plus gifts, home decor and Christmas ornaments inspired by black culture. And yes, that collection is real and it’s owned by Hallmark.
Girlfriendship premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 1 at 8 pm ET.
