Hollywood movie star Brendan Fraser is known for his roles in films including The Mummy, George of the Jungle, Crash, and Gods and Monsters, among others. The 53-year-old is now back in the spotlight for his literally heavy performance in the movie The Whale.
As seen in the photo above, Fraser plays the protagonist, Charlie: a 600-pound middle-aged man who tries to reconnect with his seventeen-year-old daughter (Sadie Sink).

Get ready to see more of Fraser: he stars in the upcoming Martin Scorsese‘s movie Killers of the Flower Moon. It’s a Western crime drama based on the series of 1920s Oklahoma murders in the Osage Nation committed after oil was discovered on tribal land.
Robert De Niro plays cattleman and convicted murderer William Hale; Leonardo DiCaprio plays his nephew, Ernest Burkhart, who plotted the murder of his wife’s Osage family members to steal the wealth she accumulated from oil (photo below). Fraser plays Hale’s lawyer W.S. Hamilton. As seen in the video interview above, when Fraser announces that he’s sharing the screen with De Niro and Leo, he pantomimes the classic nervous gesture of biting one’s fingernails.
