On Season 18 of The Voice, 22-year-old country rock singer Joei Fulco from Lancaster, California got Blake Shelton to turn his chair when she sang the 1971 Cher song “Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves.” (New judge Nick Jonas turned his chair too, but Blake blocked him.)
Blake told Fulco, “The Cher that’s in your voice, that’s what had me. The fact that you’re bringing that sound to country music is what’s going to set you apart from anybody else.”
When not on stage singing, Joei is likely flexing her muscles on another kind of stage and in a string bikini. The NPC bikini competitor captioned the photos above: “Missing the stage so much! Can’t wait to get back up there.”
Fulco says she discovered the sport of bodybuilding “at one of my lowest times and it has become my way to cope with everything! I know first hand how mental health can change within a second. I’m lucky I found this lifestyle when I did.. having a healthy outlet is so beneficial!”
