Hollywood movie star Eva Mendes (Hitch) hasn’t been in a film since 2014, when she co-starred with Christina Hendricks in the dramatic mystery Lost River, which was written and directed by Mendes’ long-time partner Ryan Gosling.
Since then, Mendes has been busy as a fashion designer and as the mother of two girls. She and Gosling are parents to 5-year-old Esmeralda and almost 4-year-old Amada.
Just days after celebrating her 46th birthday, Mendes, who is a fashion designer with a collaborative clothing line with New York & Co., shared the photo collage above of nurses in Guasca, Colombia who treat patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s — they are wearing her hand-me-down clothes.
Mendes explains: “In my household we never throw anything away, we give things away instead.” She adds that she’s “excited to recycle and re-use my own personal clothes as well as the clothes I design.”
