In the life of the modern celebrity, especially one with more than 4.5 million followers, the life as represented on Instagram is the narrative that fans know and understand. It’s been a month since Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s talented actress daughter, changed her narrative dramatically by posting an absolutely savage bikini pic from a yacht in Barcelona, Spain. Instagram fell all over itself to find new ways of saying HOT.
Since then Reginae’s Instagram has been cool and confident, but there has been no followup even approaching the swimsuit pic. And it can’t be just the end of #hotgirlsummer either. The eye-popping Barcelona bikini action was posted October 1 — summer had closed for business by then.
The very lovely photos that have dominated the feed since are terrific and may represent a new direction/attitude for Reginae, who stars on the reality TV show T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle. But as far as likes and views go, they aren’t hitting numbers like the bikini did! Here’s a sample. We can’t wait to see what she does next.
