On Season 8 of Teen Mom OG, Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra talk about their rocky relationship with their first-born daughter’s adoptive parents. It’s been ten years since they placed their daughter with her adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa.
Cate says, “Last year we had hopes of having a visiting with her but it never happened.” She adds that she reached out again this year but hasn’t heard back. “I worry that anxieties have been building up with them over the years about our open adoption.” Cate says it’s really important to her to let Carly (their first born) know how much she and Tyler care about her.
On camera, Cate and Tyler “share their frustrations about visitation agreements.” Tyler complains about their complaint of “talking about it in depth on camera.” Tyler also says, on camera, that while he understands their point of view he questions if they’re not agreeing to a visit “to protect the child” or are they doing it because they “feel threatened” by something they can’t control.
