The Jane Austen classic Pride and Prejudice is getting a Southern contemporary twist on Lifetime. In the TV movie Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta, Reverend Bennet (Reginald VelJohnson, Family Matters) is a pastor of a prominent southern Baptist church and his wife Mrs. Bennet (Jackée Harry, 227) is the author of a self-help book on how to find the perfect husband (one with money). They have five “very single” adult daughters who according to their mother all need a husband in order to live a fulfilling life. There’s Lizzie (Tiffany Hines), Jane (Raney Branch), Mary (Brittany Level), Kitty (Alexia Bailey) and Lydia (Reginae Carter, daughter of rapper Lil Wayne). Lizzie falls for Will Darcy (Juan Antonio, Empire) but his Aunt Catherine doesn’t approve.
