The 73rd Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 9. The Late Late Show host James Corden will host the celebration of Broadway’s finest from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. While the musical Hadestown leads the pack with its 14 Tony Award nominations, two-time Tony Award winner Judith Light will receive the Isabelle Stevenson Award at the red carpet event.
Three days before the Tonys, Light shared the trailer for the Transparent musical finale. It starts with her character Shelly learning that her transgender husband Moira (Jeffrey Tambor) is dead. Shelly’s daughter Sarah (Amy Landecker) pleads with her mother to “act respectfully” but in Sarah’s eyes, she doesn’t.
And when Sarah warns Shelly about crossing her personal boundary, Shelly (rocking a stunning bodysuit) sings on stage, “Your boundary is my trigger!” The two-hour series finale of Transparent is coming this fall. The 73rd Annual Tony Awards live broadcast begins at 8 pm on CBS.
Light thanks Sports Illustrated swimsuit model/actress Emily Ratajkowski (who is also the topless model in Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ video) and the designer behind the Inamorata bodysuits, for the versatile garments.
