In the Lifetime movie Pregnant and Deadly (originally titled Dying for a Baby), young married couple Amber and Kyle Smith (Grayson Berry) are starting a family. They couldn’t be happier, until they meet their new neighbor Jessica Moore (Sarah Minnich, Better Call Saul).
Two years earlier, Amber and a pregnant Jessica got into a car accident. Jessica lost the baby in the accident and shortly after her marriage fell apart. With a history of domestic violence on her record, she’s told she will never be able to adopt. So Jessica plots to steal Amber’s baby and goes so far as to get a job working with Amber’s OB/GYN, Dr. Davis (Patricia McKenzie).
Amber is portrayed by Christa B. Allen. The 27-year-old actress launched her career by playing young Jenna (Jennifer Garner) in the 2004 film 13 Going on 30 with Mark Ruffalo. Allen played Garner’s younger character again in the 2009 film Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Matthew McConaughey.
Allen has since landed recurring roles on Baby Daddy (Robyn) and Revenge (Charlotte Clarke), among others. Pregnant and Deadly premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, May 4 at 8 pm.
