On the Teen Mom 2 Season 9 episode “Cold War,” while Leah tells her ex Jeremy he needs to spend more time with their daughter Addie, Kailyn Lowry and her ex Jo Rivera (Isaac’s father) come face-to-face for the first time since Jo filed for child support. (Jo paid Kailyn child support in years past; they now have 50/50 custody of Isaac.) When Kailyn shows up at Isaac’s basketball evaluations, Jo mutters a “Hey, Kail” but she does not return the greeting. She doesn’t even look at him. While they watch their son try out for the basketball team, they sit on opposite sides of the gym. Well, Kail stands — and right near the basket where Isaac is trying to shoot. When he misses his shots, Kail is heard saying things like “Good job” and “It’s alright, baby.”
While Isaac didn’t make any of his shots, Kailyn is there to tell him he did a good job and “you’re still going to make the team.” All three leave the gymnasium together in silence. As one fan wrote on a Teen Mom 2 Facebook group, Kailyn “looks like an angry tank walking around just daring anyone to say something.” Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9 pm on MTV.
