In the Single Parents episode “John Freakin’ Stamos,” Poppy’s (Kimrie Lewis) ex-husband, Ron, gets serious with his latest girlfriend Sharon (guest star Laci Mosley). This means that Poppy has to deal with the reality of another woman helping to raise her kid (Devin Trey Campbell). Ron is portrayed by Bashir Salahuddin. As an actor he’s known for his TV roles on GLOW (referee Keith Bang), HBO’s Looking (Malik), and in the films A Simple Favor starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick (Detective Summerville) and Snatched starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn (Morgan Russell). Salahuddin is also well recognized for his appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where he was a writer from 2009 to 2012 and for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. Salahuddin will appear next on the big screen in the highly anticipated Top Gun movie sequel Top Gun: Maverick which will be released in 2020.
