You’re Not Smooth When You’re Hungry say the commercials for Snickers Creamy — and armored car robber Peter Zagarine is definitely not smooth. Otherwise when choosing stockings to put over his head for a mask, Peter might not have chosen fishnet stockings. (There are many excellent uses for fishnet stockings, but use as a disguise is not one of them!) Pete’s robber pals take one look at him and they’re like, “Pete?” Hapless hungry Peter replies: “You said panty hose right?”
Anyway, fishnet head Peter is so easily recognized that his old social studies teacher calls out to him from the sidewalk — by name. Peter tries to deny his identity, and he’s hilariously unimpressive in his effort. But it’s his getting outed by his former social studies teacher that makes the ad really soar.
Peter’s social studies teacher is portrayed by actress Kathryn Kates. She’s known for her recurring roles on Netflix’s Friends from College (Fred Savage’s mother Martha), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Judge Marlene Simons), Shades of Blue (Mrs. Saperstein), Orange Is the New Black (Amy Kanter-Bloom), Lizzie McGuire (Mrs. Carrabino), and Seinfeld as the counterwoman at Schnitzer’s bakery where Jerry tries to buy a loaf of marble rye, among others.
