On the Magnum, P.I. episode “Murder Is Never Quiet”, while veterans Rick (Zachary Knighton), TC (Stephen Hill), and Kenny “Shammy” Shamberg try to recover stolen appliances that were donated to a wounded veteran, Magnum (Jay Hernandez) is challenged with a new case. A young man named Josh Healy has been accused of killing his girlfriend. His mother, Brianna Healy (guest star Paula Newsome) hires Magnum to prove her son’s innocence, and he has just 24 hours to do it.

Josh Healy is portrayed by 24-year-old rapper/actor Wavyy Jonez. As an actor, he’s known for his role as the late rapper Christopher “Biggie” Wallace aka Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious B.I.G., in the TV series Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. Jonez will appear next on the big screen in the sci-fi movie See You Yesterday. It’s about two teenagers who build time machines to save one’s brother from being killed by the police. It’s written and directed by Stefon Britsol who worked as an assistant to filmmaker Spike Lee on his Oscar winning BlacKkKlansman. As a rapper, Jonez is known for his singles “You Gone, Live On” and “I’m Not the One” (see link above). Magnum, P.I. airs Mondays at 9 pm on CBS, right after Man with a Plan.
