On the My Big Fat Fabulous Life episode “Fat Hating Is Real,” while Buddy brings his new girlfriend Chelsea to Greensboro and looks for a place for them to live, the star of the show Whitney Way Thore is shocked when Todd quits BGDC. Viewers will experience a roller coaster of emotions watching this episode. It’s sweet when Whitney’s parents, Babs and Glenn, set up their thirtysomething daughter on a blind date — for dinner in their house. Whitney acts like she wasn’t expecting company, but she didn’t show up for dinner in her usual tank top and exercise pants either. She brushed her hair and wore a pretty black dress. “Being set up is beyond embarrassing,” she says. But Babs says, “All I know is that she needs a man.”
On a less sweet note, in this episode, according to TLC, “Whitney is fat shamed when the RV is vandalized in front of her home.” My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on TLC.
