In the Lifetime holiday movie Christmas Pen Pals, app developer Hannah Morris goes home for the holidays but not with her usual cheer. Her boyfriend just dumped her right before Christmas. While visiting family, she’s invited to participate in Christmas Cupid, a program that encourages singles to get to know each other by writing letters to each other before meeting — if they want to meet.
Hannah suggests that her single father, Ted (Michael Gross, Family Ties), do it. He agrees only if she does it with him. She does and it works! She finds her spark in Sam Watson (Niall Matter).

Heartbroken Hannah is portrayed by actress Sarah Drew. She’s best known for her role as Dr. April Kepner on Grey’s Anatomy (SEE LINK ABOVE.) Drew is also recognized for her roles on Mad Men (Kitty Romano), Private Practice (Judy), Medium (Suzie Keener), and Everwood (Hannah Rogers), among others. Christmas Pen Pals premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, December 15 at 8 pm. [More Lifetime movies streaming are always available.]
