On The Goldbergs episode “Bohemian Rap City”, the Dropouts decide to audition for “Star Search” while Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and Murray (Jeff Garlin) worry about Adam’s (Sean Giambrone) obsession with toys. They try to distract Adam with a new hobby. There’s a hilarious scene at the toy store with Morgan the Toy Clerk, who’s portrayed by The Sucklord.
The Sucklord (born Morgan Phillips) describes himself as a “bootleg toy king” and “D-list reality TV star”. The New York native pop artist makes unlicensed action figures and toys through his company, Suckadelic. He’s a big fan of Stars Wars. In 2011, he had an exhibition at the Boo-Hooray Gallery in Manhattan. This isn’t The Sucklord’s first time on TV: he was a contestant on Season 2 of World of Art: The Next Great Artist and he appeared on Bravo’s Gallery Girls. The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before American Housewife.
