The protagonist of the Lifetime movie “Christmas Harmony” is a soft-spoken woman named Harmony (Kelley Jakle, Jessica in the Pitch Perfect movies). She leaves the big city and returns home after her gorgeous but vain pop star boyfriend Devin Chase (Peter Porte) breaks up with her right before the holidays. At home, she surrounds herself with music and people who love her including Shirley.
[Struthers has a memorable role in Five Easy Pieces]
Shirley is portrayed by Sally Struthers. She’s best known for her role as Gloria Bunker-Stivic, Archie and Edith Bunker’s daughter, in All in the Family (and the spin-offs Archie Bunker’s Place and Gloria). The two-time Emmy Award winning actress is also well recognized for her TV roles on Gilmore Girls (Babette Dell) and Nine to Five (Marsha McMurray Shrimpton), and in the 1970s films The Getaway with Steve Queen and Ali MacGraw (as Fran) and in Five Easy Pieces with Jack Nicholson (“Shirley but they call me Betty”), among others. Christmas Harmony premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, November 24 at 10 pm.
