On the Single Parents episode “They Call Me DOCTOR Biscuits!”, while Will (Taran Killam) keeps his relationship with pediatrician Dr. Dewan (Hannah Simone) a secret from Sophie (Leighton Meester), Graham (Tyler Wladis) and Rory (Devin Trey Campbell) are cast in their school’s production of “Grease.” When the parents discover Graham got the lead, they try to appeal to the eccentric drama teacher, Dr. Biscuits.
Drama teacher Dr. Biscuits is portrayed by Rhys Darby. The New Zealand-born comedian is known his roles on Wrecked (Steve), Life in Pieces (lactation expert Teddy), Hot in Cleveland (Jack), Flight of the Conchords (Murray Hewitt), and in the films Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (Nigel), Killing Hasselhoff (Fish), and Yes Man (Norman), among others. Single Parents airs Wednesdays at 9:30 pm on ABC, right after Modern Family and right before A Million Little Things.
