In the Blue Bloods episode “By Hook or by Crook”, while Eddie (Vanessa Ray) reluctantly introduces her fiancé Jamie (Will Estes) to her mother, Lena (Christine Ebersole), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) deals with Luis Delgado (Lou Diamond Phillips). Although Danny’s partner Baez (Marisa Ramirez) suggests that another detective goes after the drug cartel hitman responsible for torching Danny’s house, Danny doesn’t take heed. Along the way, he crosses paths with DEA Agent Veronica Molina.
DEA Agent Veronica Molina is portrayed by actress Luna Lauren Velez. The native New Yorker is known for her roles on MacGyver (Cassandra Glover), How to Get Away with Murder (Soraya Hargrove), South of Hell (Tetra), Dexter (Captain Maria LaGuerta), Ugly Betty (Elena), Oz (Dr. Gloria Nathan), and New York Undercover (Det. Nina Moreno), among others. Fun fact #1: Velez received a scholarship from the Alvin Ailey Dance School which prepared her to tour with the musical “Dreamgirls”, and to become the understudy for Phylicia Rashad in Broadway’s “Into the Woods.” Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10 pm on CBS, right after Hawaii Five-0.
