In the Mom episode “Jell-O Shots and the Truth About Santa,” while Adam (William Fichtner) gets ready for the grand opening of his bar, Bonnie (Allison Janney) encourages Christy (Anna Faris) to mend her relationship with her daughter Violet. Last time we saw Violet was in the 2016 episode “Blow and a Free McMuffin” where she had mono and wanted to move back in with her mother and grandmother. Now Violet has a podcast where she talks about how terrible of a mother Christy is.
Violet is portrayed by Sadie Calvano. The 21-year-old actress is also known for her role as Keira on Melisssa & Joey. Calvano will appear next on the big screen in Kingfish with Molly Ringwald. Mom airs Thursdays at 9 pm on CBS, right after Young Sheldon and right before Murphy Brown.
