The protagonist in the Lifetime movie A Very Nutty Christmas is Dancing Flours bakery owner Kate Holiday (Melissa Joan Hart, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch). She loves her job and has tons of cookie orders (15,000 cookies!) to fill this holiday season but her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend breaks up with her and breaks her holiday spirit. When she wakes up the next day, a handsome solider named Chip appears in her living room and reawakens her Christmas spirit. “He’s the wooden nutcracker come to life,” says Kate. Wooden or not, Kate falls for Chip.
[Watson starred in Teaching Mrs. Tingle with Helen Mirren and Katie Holmes]
Chip the solider is portrayed by Barry Watson, 44, who’s best known for his role as Matt Camden in the family show 7th Heaven (1996-2006). After 7th Heaven, Watson starred on What About Brian (Brian Davis), Samantha Who? with Christina Applegate (Todd), Gossip Girl (Steven Spence), Hart of Dixie (Davis Polk), Masters of Sex (Shelley Decklin), and Date My Dad (Ricky Cooper), among others. Fun fact: Watson is married to actress Natasha Gregson Wagner, daughter of Hollywood legend Natalie Wood. A Very Nutty Christmas premieres on Lifetime on Friday, November 30 at 8 pm.
