In The Cool Kids episode “Sid Comes Out,” while Sid (Leslie Jordan) prepares for a visit with his son Walt (guest star Travis Schuldt) who doesn’t know he’s gay, Charlie (Martin Mull) tries to help Hank (David Alan Grier), who doesn’t believe he needs glasses, cheat at hie eye test. Meanwhile, Margaret (Vicki Lawrence) has a chat with fellow resident Robert.
Robert is portrayed by Max Gail. He’s best know for his role as Detective Stan “Wojo”Wojciehowicz on Barney Miller, for which he was nominated twice for Emmy Awards. Gail is also recognized for his roles on Gary Unmarried (Jack), Sons & Daughters (Wendal Halbert), and in the 2013 film 42 about Jackie Robinson (Brooklyn Dodgers manager Burt Shotton), among others. Gail is currently starring on the daytime soap opera General Hospital as Mike Corbin. The Cool Kids airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on Fox, right after Last Man Standing and right before Hell’s Kitchen.
